Project Summary

T. A. Loving utilized the Design-Build delivery method to deliver five Energy Positive k-12 Schools for Horry County Schools in South Carolina. Each school has a Thermally active building system, geothermal heat pumps, solar PV, LED lighting, enhanced building automation, superior indoor air quality and building envelope.  and energy efficient materials. The schools include administration offices, classrooms, cafeterias, assembly spaces, library, and outdoor spaces.

The five schools produce more energy than they consume.
