Northeast Brunswick Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant
Client: Brunswick County Public Utilities
Engineer: McKim & Creed
Completion Date: 2021
Delivery Method: Design-Bid-Build
Project Summary
In early 2019, the NC Division of Water Resources had to temporarily suspend the issuance of Sewer Line Extension Permits for sewer flows tributary to the Northeast Brunswick Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant. At the completion of engineering and design in June of 2020, T. A. Loving Company began construction to both expand the plant’s capacity to support the county’s growth and install a low-pressure reverse osmosis treatment system. The Northeast Brunswick Regional Wastewater System provides treatment and transmission for areas of the Brunswick Regional Water and Sewer H2GO (formerly the North Brunswick Sanitary District), Town of Leland, Town of Navassa, and City of Northwest. Construction was completed in 2021.
