Spears Creek Waste Water Treatment Plant Expansion

Project Summary

This project expanded an existing wastewater treatment plant from 6 MGD to 12 MGD. The existing treatment process was replaced with a new 18 MGD headworks structure, 3 new 4 MGD Intermittent Cycle Extended Aerations System (ICEAS) treatment basins, new blower building, new UV disinfection system and new effluent pumping station. T.A. Loving converted two existing clarifiers to sludge thickeners, three existing aeration basins to surge tanks and one aeration basin into a digester. The project scope also included new yard piping, sitework and electrical work, including a new generator. T.A. Loving completed the work without interrupting day to day operations.
