Project Summary

Wayne UNC Health Care’s new, state-of-the-art Surgery Center features advanced operating room technology and innovative universal rooms for both pre- and post-surgical care, including 14 operating rooms and 52 pre-op/post op rooms.

The Surgery Center project included over 100,000 square feet of addition and renovation work in proximity to an active hospital. During construction, T. A. Loving carefully phased work to minimize the impact of construction on daily operations in the hospital; our efforts included phased construction, off-shift work and infection-control measures throughout the work zones.

T. A. Loving Company provided CMAR services for Wayne UNC Health Care for the Surgery Addition. This was Wayne UNC Healthcare’s first experience with this construction delivery method.
